A primary school in Coventry has “taken all necessary precautions” after a child tested positive for Covid-19.
A number of families have been told by Holbrook Primary School that their children need to self-isolate for 14 days after they were deemed to have had close contact with the “member of the school community”.
A letter sent to parents and carers yesterday (Thursday, September 17) read: “We have been advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school.”
The school, in Gateside Road, also carried details of what to do if a child develops symptoms of Covid-19.
The letter read: “If your child develops symptoms of COVID-19, they should remain at home for at least 10 days from the date when their symptoms appeared.”
Parents and carers were told their children would need to go into self-isolation if the primary schoolers had been in close contact with the "affected child".
