Spiritual Stephen Holbrook heads for Coventry

LAIRVOYANT medium Stephen Holbrook has no doubts about what he would like as his final epitaph when he one day shuffles off this mortal coil.

“I suppose – and I hope Arnie forgives me – it should be ‘I’ll be back!’ In my line of work, I certainly hope so,” he laughs.

The Yorkshireman is one of Britain’s best loved spiritualists and is just back in the UK after touring America and the Caribbean.

He is heading to Coventry next month for a date at The Village Hotel as part of a nationwide tour and describes himself as a telephone exchange between this world and the next.

“I belong to the Spiritual Workers Association – SWA – which is a recognised body that has many mediums, healers, and other spiritual workers affiliated with it under a proper “standards” banner,” he says. “A bit like the Corgi mark for a builder! I also work closely with the Spiritual Truth Foundation which helps to spread the knowledge and awareness of the religion in areas where it is not so widely known.”

Stephen has a down-to-earth, sympathetic approach towards his talent and is a good friend of Loose Women presenter and singer Jane McDonald.

He predicted her rise to stardom years before the nation took her to their hearts on BBC TV show The Cruise. She even wrote in her official biography “To Stephen Holbrook, my best friend and spiritual advisor for the last 14 years. Thank you for making me feel wonderful, how do you do it?”

Born in Hemsworth, not far from Wakefield, Stephen’s father was manager of Wakefield Theatre Club and his mother a librarian.
