this crossing was closed after opening of  under bridge of Urban Estate, peoples are opposing the closing of it. 

Railway crossing will open soon : Sushil Rinku

jalandhar 9 September (Sonu) : A site visit at C-7 railway crossing in was done today by Shri Sushil Rinku (Ex-MP, Jalandhar), S. Sarabjit Singh Makkar (Ex-MLA), Prof. Kanwar Sartaj Singh (Councillor, Ward No. 18) along with residents about opening of railway crossing very soon. Various employees from Railways and Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar were also present. Shri Sushil Rinku said the railway crossing will be opened very soon. As per the need of general public on daily basis to commute, formalities are almost complete to re-open it. People from all walks of life including businessmen, daily wage workers, students, senior citizens had to face a lot of difficulty while travelling. In order to provide public convenience, our very respected railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ji has agreed to our request. Sarabjit Singh Makkar said central government is very much concerned about welfare of people. So, respecting public sentiments, C-7 railway crossing will be re-opened in few days. Prof. Kanwar Sartaj Singh said there are so many schools, shops, hospitals on both sides of C-7 railway crossing. Thousands of residents commute everyday. There is a very old cremation ground on one side of crossing and people face difficulty while reaching there. Amarjit Singh Goldy, Sunil Bhardwaj, Anil Bhardwaj, Paramjit Singh, Ranjit Singh, Ashwini Sapra, Sunil Malhotra, Gurchain Singh, Ashok Rajpoot, Rakesh Sharma, Gurpal Singh, JatinderLovely joel, Satish Kumar,Deepak Kumar, Wilson, Sunny,Albert Masih,Jully, Sabu, Varun Sidhu, Manga Singh, Satinder Sharma, Gurmeet Singh etc were also present there.
