Rajasthan:-(Jalandhar Report Vikrant) Former MLA Dhakad committed suicide at 7.30 am today in his Subhash Nagar house. Dhakad cut the veins of his hands. After this he was taken to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. Even the official statement from the doctors has not come yet. The family has not made any report to the police.

The reasons why former MLA Vivek committed suicide have not been revealed yet. Dhakad was present in the District Collector's office during the nomination of Congress candidate Dr. CP Joshi for the Lok Sabha elections in Bhilwara on Wednesday and was campaigning loudly. Everyone is shocked by his sudden suicide today. At present, Dhakad's body has been shifted to the mortuary of Bhilwara Mahatma Gandhi Hospital and the police is busy in the investigation.

According to the police, in the preliminary investigation, the reason for suicide is said to be family dispute. But the family members are not telling anything yet. Vivek Dhakad was elected MLA from Mandalgarh in the 2019 by-election. He lost to BJP's Gopal Sharma in the 2023 assembly elections. His father Engineer Kanhaiyalal Dhakad was the former district head of Bhilwara.
