Harwinder Singh Rinda, a “most-wanted" terrorist who was also named as the mastermind behind the RPG attack on Punjab Police’s intelligence headquarters in Mohali in May, has reportedly died at a hospital in Pakistan’s Lahore. Kidney failure triggered by drug overdose is being said to be the cause of his death.
A senior Punjab Police said that he was being treated for a kidney ailment probably triggered by drug overdose, Indian Express reported. “We have learnt that Rinda died due to drug overdose,” the official said.
Some reports, meanwhile, also said that the gangster group Davinder Bhambiha is claiming responsibility for Rinda’s death.
